Four Favorites: November 2016

November Favorites are here! This will be the last post like this of the year, because in December, I'm going to do a full-year 2016 favorites. But I have really discovered some awesome new products this month that I am excited to share with you!
Four Favorites: November 2016
1. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse - "Classic Ivory"
This is by far the easiest foundation product I have ever used. This is the product for the mornings when you have less than two minutes to do your makeup and get out the door, or when you're just feeling too lazy to go through the process of putting on a liquid foundation with a brush. Formulated truly like a mousse, this product is one that you can really just dip your fingers into, smear across your face, and head out the door. I have never seen a product blend in as fast as this one does, and it actually provides really good, natural coverage! I find that blending it with my fingers is the best and easiest method, but you could also use a brush if you preferred. If there is a downside to this product, it's that it doesn't last quite as long as some of my liquid foundations, but this is my new go-to for early mornings. Since it's matte, it's friendly to oily skin, but I don't think it looks too bad on dry patches, either!
2. Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder - "1 - Fair"
This product is Laura Mercier's answer to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. In my opinion, this is even softer and more subtle, so if you felt that the Hourglass powders had too much shine, this could work for you. A soft, glowy powder, this works great as a very natural highlighter or as an all-over face powder if you want luminosity. I find that it just makes my face look healthier, and the color is a great match as well. I haven't tried anything else from Laura Mercier's new Candleglow line, but after this powder, I might want to look into the other products!
3. Burberry Eye Colour - "Pale Barley"
The theme of this month's favorites must be super natural-looking makeup, because this eyeshadow is another one that fits the bill. It's definitely expensive, but I have found it worth the price completely, because I have never had another eyeshadow that looks more naturally pretty on the eyes. It is kind of a "barely there" eyeshadow, which is actually a good thing. On a very natural day, I like just a subtle shadow with a bit of sheen rather than full-on shimmer, and that's what this gives. It brings some dimension to your eyes without looking too "done up," and it's kind of fool-proof for those less familiar with applying eyeshadow. You truly can't overdo it.
4. bareMinerals GEN NUDE Radiant Lipstick - "Notorious"
Ladies and gentlemen, I really saved the best for last this time. I feel like I may be able to make the bold claim that this is my new favorite lipstick. On a whim, I picked this up at Sephora, and I think I have worn it every day since. It's everything I want in a lipstick - full color in one swipe, super creamy, has some shine but not too much, moisturizing, and lasts a decent amount of time for something that doesn't claim to be long-wearing. It's also not too terribly expensive for a Sephora product! This color is perfect - totally "My Lips But Better," and it doesn't lean too warm, cool, light, or dark, so it's a year-round product. It also doesn't have any strong or weird smells, which sometimes can kill an otherwise perfect product. I am so in love!
